The Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for all dissemination of information to the public according to the Right to Information Act 2013. The duties and responsibilities of the PIO include:
- Coordinating the release of authorized information with public.
Public Information Officer (PIO) keep citizens informed about the activities of Police Department he/she works for. PIO may be spokesperson, or he/she may serve as adviser to those who will appear on camera. We perform public relations duties for Muzaffargarh Police.
Informing the Public
In addition to facilitating and generating media stories, PIOs keep the public informed through direct communication. PIO prepares printed and electronic newsletters, brochures and posters and write/place articles for print media, radio and/or television.
